Pointers need to be with people and need to be socialized as puppies. Some Pointers can be skittish or aloof. Pointers need plenty of exercise and activity to be happy and healthy. This breed is best for a home with lots of open land.

Pointer Trivia: Once a Pointer has cornered its game, it will freeze in place to point out its quarry. The modern Pointer is a mixture of several breeds including Foxhounds, Greyhounds, and Bulldogs.
