Hank was found starving and dehyrdated and is looking for a forever family with children or an adult that wants a gentle, calm and obedient companion dog. He is very laid-back for a pointer, has good stamina when he's on a walk or a run, but inside he lays down and sleeps. He is submissive and obedient with people, good with most other dogs, and in great health other than needing some more weight put on. Needs a home as soon as possible. Our DEADLINE for keeping this dog is 4/14 due to an upcoming medical issues (with the humans, not the dog). If we cannot properly place him THIS WEEK, we will be forced to give him to a rescue organization. This young (neutered) male is a beautiful and energetic dog. However, he is not a good fit for our home or lifestyle. After several months of trying to make things work, our family has decided that we and he will be happier if he finds a new home and a better fit. He is a loving and compassionate ... But we want to correct the situation so Dexter can live a life more suited to his needs - so he will truly be happier. Mocha is a sweet, engergetic puppy, but needs lots of yard space, or plot of land. She would do well with other dogs for play companions, and prefers the outdoors. She will go potty on demand, but still needs some indoor training for anyone that wants to keep her as an inside pet. She has a dark brown coat with white feet and white tip on her tail. Charlotte is a black Weimaraner mixed with pointer so she has a white patch on her chest. She is super playful and we absolutely love her to death. Our house was recently foreclosed on so she is staying with my sister who cannot keep her for very long because she has low fences and Charlotte likes to jump the fences to play with the neighbors dogs (he is not very appreciative of this fact). Please let me know if you can give her a good home. She plays outdoors most of the day, but like to sleep inside in a kennel or utility room. Tulsa County Tulsa, OK MAP IT!

This is an English Pointer that was dumped in our neighborhood. We found her on the roadside severely malnourished with some superficial injury due to being left in the wild (looks like injury from scrambling through barbed wire fencing). We rescued her 4 weeks ago, and she has shown great improvements and her injuries have healed. We cannot keep her because we do not have a fenced property and would love to find her a home. She is sweet, very very loyal and quite a good watchdog. Very alert and high energy. Tulsa County Sand Springs, OK MAP IT!

Rosie was rescued from the local pound and has been in foster care for several months. Her foster parent can no longer care for her and she is now in a vet kennel. Rosie is spending most of her time now in a small pen with limited time to play. She is becoming extremely bored. She loves to play with balls, chase and retrieve, loves to go to the lake and play in water. She is very strong and pulls on lead. Pointer Dogs can make good pets in Oklahoma if they match your IifestyIe. The English Pointer is a proud, elegant hunting dog. Pointers are good with children and devoted to their families. Pointers need to be with people and need to be socialized as puppies. Some Pointers can be skittish or aloof. Pointers need plenty of exercise and activity to be happy and healthy. This breed is best for a home with lots of open land.
