Rescue Me ID: 17-02-16-00494Nina (female)

Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Nina was abandoned by her previous family after she became pregnant. So sad. Nina is an approx. 3 yr old female Boxer/Pointer cross. She weighs around 40 lbs and is a nice medium size girl. She did a wonderful job taking care of her babies who are now 8 weeks old. Now it's Nina's turn to find a loving home that will not abandon her anymore. It is time for her to settle down and spend the rest of her life in a home that will cherish her. In return she will love you unconditionally. Nina is in a shelter on the Front Range (outside of Denver).

Rescue Me ID: 17-01-17-00163Carly (female)

Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Poor Carly was surrendered to a high-kill shelter down in Houston, TX 2/9/16, when her owners decided they no longer wanted her. She spent 48 days in the shelter before ending up on the euthanasia list because she had been there for so long. Thats when she was brought in through our rescue and brought to CO. She has been waiting for a place to call her own for so long and made so many improvement over the 9 months that we have had her. She is GREAT with kids of all ages. She knows many commands including sit, down, stay and come. She has made huge improvements on the leash, and just needs a little more work when she gets excited. She is ... (Read More)fully house trained and has good house manners. She originally had some pretty sever separation anxiety, but can now be kenneled without hurting herself and left out for an hour or two here and there. We still think she would do best in a home that someone is around a lot, but she can be kenneled when needed. She loves to play and get get pretty talkative. Its adorable how she grumbles and woofs. She gets along with most other dogs when introduced slowly, but would not do well with another dominant dog. She is also the biggest cuddle bug ever and is happy to curl up with you wherever. This sweet girl needs a home so bad, but does not show well at our adopt events, so needs to have private meetings. If you would like to set up a time to meet Carly and hopefully give her a forever home you can fill out an application at aaanimalrescue.org. (Less)

I have been living in great home for several months after being rescued. I am house broken and love daily trips to the dog park. I really like it here but I need lots of space to run , I don't think I was bred to be a house pet. Looking for slightly larger good home.

Hi! My name is Divina and I was rescued in New Mexico. At the shelter, I was used as a greeter to new dogs because I love other dogs! I was a favorite among the staff for my calm demeanor and big brown eyes! A wonderful volunteer drove me all the way to Colorado so I can find a new family. I am a social butterfly and meeting new people is exciting! I also enjoy being outside, exploring and going for walks. I am very food motivated and am working on basic commands. I already know sit! If you are loving and active, I would like to be a part of your family.
