Rescue Me ID: 14-08-30-00359Pongo & Perdita (female)

Pointer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Pongo & Perdita are two mixed breed dogs that came to us from New Mexico. These two love each other! They will lay with one another and nuzzle each other. Thought to be litter mates, both about 2-3 years old. Pongo & Perdita are thought to be maybe a Dalmatian and English Pointer cross, but its hard to say. These two are very friendly and are just aching for attention. They sit in front of you waiting for a pet after their breakfast. These two are not the best with other dogs and would love to be in a home, together, with no one else but their people to love on them. Pongo & Perdita are both fixed. To encourage that Pongo & Perdita stay ... (Read More)together, we are not asking for an adoption fee, just a donation to help care for the other dogs (Less)

Hey, you clicked on my picture, and that must mean you like me already! My name is Scout, and I am a 6-year-old Pointer mix. I was rescued from a shelter in Texas, and my current foster Mom describes me as a real lover! The absolute best thing ever, is having my ears and head scratched, so you can do that to me anytime! Here are some other things I LOVE: going for walks, playing with people and other dogs, chasing balls, and I will oh-so-subtly let you know I would like to be petted by leaning against your legs (cute right?). Did I mention I love having my ears and head scratched? I love it a LOT! When my foster Mom wants to take me for a ... (Read More)walk, she says 'let's go for a sniff,' because apparently, the Pointer in me is pretty strong and I like to stop and sniff everything - there is seriously a lot of good smelling to be done out there! I don't mind tooting my own horn a little, I'm pretty good on a leash (please watch out for bunnies, I have a tendency to like them a little too much!), I know how to 'sit' and 'stay,' I don't climb up on the couch, and I am a people-pleaser (I try to be a 'good boy!'). When someone comes to the door, I will bark to let you know. I am super sweet, and would be so very happy in a home with female adults only. I get along well with other dogs, and do well with children, but I have a fear of men, and am a tad insecure. I didn't get the right attention from my previous owners, so I'm hoping my new owner will provide me with the stability, leadership, and routine I need to get feeling more secure. I was so used to my sister being the 'dog in charge,' and she is in another foster home, so I miss her leadership and I'm looking to my current foster mom to be the new leader. If you are a female with a strong, capable, and confident personality, we might be the perfect match! If you'd like to meet me, please fill out the online app today! Adoption fee is $175 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter. Adoption fees also allow us to continue saving animals. Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.     Meet Ethan! Ethan is a sweet Lab/Hound mix who is looking for his forever home. He is a super friendly dog who loves everyone that he meets. He gets along great with other dogs, kids and even cats! Whenever Ethan is at home, he loves to spend time with his foster dog brothers. He will seek out one of them to play with for a while, then cuddle up close to him when it is time for a nap. Although Ethan loves the company of other dogs, he is perfectly content playing with one of his stuffed animal friends. Ethan has lots of energy and is a very athletic dog. He can jump over a 7 foot tall fence, so it would be best for him not to be left alone ... (Read More)in a backyard. He would be happiest with a yard that has plenty of room for him to run and play! Ethan would make a great running or hiking partner. Although Ethan loves to spend time outdoors, he also enjoys car rides. He will happily jump up into the car and howl along with you while you listen to all of your favorite songs! Ethan is being fostered in beautiful Breckenridge, CO, but he sure would like to find his forever family. Pointers need to be with people and need to be socialized as puppies. Some Pointers can be skittish or aloof. Pointers need plenty of exercise and activity to be happy and healthy.
